Our philosophy

Mindsite's goal is to help users overcome the confusion and subjectivity surrounding mental health diagnosis and treatment. Because the discussion of mental health issues often involves sensitive topics, we go to great lengths to protect your privacy and anonymity:

We don't store your email address during registration

Mindsite does not store your email address during registration. Instead, your login information is saved as a one way hash. This prevents Mindsite (or any other party in the future) from correlating your survey diagnoses and content postings with your email address.

We don't send unsolicited email

If you choose to receive Mindsite email updates by reentering your email address, we will not share your contact information with anyone or send you unsolicited emails. At any time, you can change your email update settings to control how frequently you receive emails from Mindsite or discontinue email updates all together.

Default anonymous usernames

During registration, all new Mindsite users are given a numbered username (example: User 29). This allows our community members to discuss private or sensitive topics in a secure and anonymous environment. Users who want to share their identity can do so by entering a custom username.

We won't share your survey responses or diagnoses with anyone

In order to achieve an accurate diagnosis, it is important that our users answer survey questions as honestly as possible. Because we realize this may require you to share sensitive or private information, Mindsite is committed to ensuring that your survey responses are not shared with anyone.
